we are… shana falana, musician and recovery activist, and theresa widmann, writer, yogini and women’s advocate. two friends laughing our way through life and hoping to soak up and share as much as possible.

shana has been a community caretaker for years, taking 12 step meetings into jails and institutions all over Ulster County, working specifically with women. She is also a part time touring musician and house painter. As a painter, she listens to story podcasts incessantly. Hearing how others are persevering in their lives helps her to continually move forward in hers. “It’s like a self help guide through my creative galaxy.”

theresa has long been an advocate for women as an attorney and within the legal technology field and since shifting her focus and opening Anahata Yoga and Healing Arts in Kingston, NY she’s been committed to bringing healing modalities to her community both through her work at Anahata and as the Board President for the non-profit, O+ Festival. A self improvement junkie, she’s found great motivation and inspiration in the stories and lives of others and is excited to share them with you.

yay, we are live on the air, coming to you from Radio Kingston (in Kingston, NY),  stream us, or catch all our archives HERE!

we’ll be interviewing women who have something we want. rewriting the old version of the women’s story where there wasn’t space for all of us in the room creating competition as we fought for the rare position amongst the men. we’re flipping the narrative on envy, celebrating the accomplishments of our guests, learning about how they’ve struggled, how they’ve persevered and how they’ve succeeded so that we can cultivate our own best selves. women are so often the ones holding community together, the unsung heroines of a community’s overall health and wellbeing. these women have gifts to share and stories to tell. we’ll bring those stories to you as well as a lively discussion on issues relevant to women and the female perspective on world and local events as well as how we take care of ourselves while we’re busy holding community together.
