On today’s show I get to speak with Emily Flynn, Director of Health and Wellness for the City of Kingston, Live Well Kingston, and President of Bike-Friendly Kingston, and Annie Bond, clairvoyant, healer, founder of the Divine Mother Center and HeartMind Healer School, toxic-free living expert and award winning author.
Emily and I get to talk about the projects she’s involved with to make Kingston a healthy and vibrant community. She shares some of the details of Live Well Kingston and its many spokes, Eat Well, Play Well, Age Well. Travel Well and Heal Well. As a cycling advocate she gives us a glimpse into what it means to be "bike-friendly" and what she and others are doing to make the transition in Kingston. You can catch her at one of the weekly "Slow Rides" in Kingston or enjoying one of her favorite public spaces like the new green line.
Annie begins her story describing the sudden degradation of her physical and mental health after a one-two punch of exposure to toxic substances which she gratefully recognizes as what brought her to the work she now does. As an expert in toxic-free living, she shares a few nuggets of her vast knowledge, and recommends her book Better Basics for the Home as a good resource for living toxin-free. Her studies of energy and her own healing work led her to forming the HeartMind Healer Energy School where she teaches others how to heal themselves and others. You can book private sessions with Annie, sign up for her next school series or workshop, or you can activate your Life Channel – Pranic Tube with this meditation she practices daily.
